A Christmas Make and Take
Last weekend I held a workshop for a new customer who wanted me to show her and her friends how to use the heat gun.
This is the very simple card I demonstrated to show how to use the Embossing Buddy, Embossing Powder and Heat Tool. I wiped all over a piece of Whisper White card stock using the embossing buddy and then stamped the swirly image from the Season of Joy stampset using Versamark ink. I poured over Gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess and then used my Heat Tool to set the embossing powder. I don’t know about you but I still get this “wow” feeling when I see the embossing powder change colour. I also stamped “seasons greetings” from the Many Merry Messages stampset onto the bottom right hand side, using Versamark and my stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure perfect placement. Again this was heat set using Gold Embossing Powder. The Whisper White card stock was attached to scored and folded Ridinghood Red card stock.
I stamped the flower image from the Season of Joy stampset onto Whisper White card using Ridinghood Red ink and had one of the guests cut them out while I did the embossing. I also punched one 5 Petal Flower from Garden Green cardstock and cut two of the petals away. I pierced a hold through the centre of the flowers using my Paper Piercing tool and Mat Pack and inserted a gold brad. I attached the Garden Green flower behind the cut flower to represent leaves and then attached the flower to the card front using dimensionals.
As I said a very simple card but I think it is quite elegant and a very easy one to reproduce.
Bye for now, Kris.
Very nice card! ~Sophia
