Stamping 411 Challenge 242

February 13, 2012

I made this card using the sketch from Stamping 411 this week and my favourite colour combo of Black/White/Red.

I punched the largest heart from the Heart to Heart Punch three times from Basic Black card stock.  I punched four squares from Whisper White card stock using the 1-1/4″ Square Punch and attached them to Basic Black 1-3/8″ squares.  The three Basic Black hearts were attached to the centre of the Whisper White Squares.  The squares were then attached to Whisper White card stock and and the whole piece embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.    I stamped “love you” from the Short and Sweet stamp set onto Whisper White card stock using Real Red ink and punched out the greeting using the Large Oval Punch.  I attached it to a Basic Black Scalloped Oval and then to the left hand side of the embossed Whisper White card stock, trimming off the left hand edge.  The embossed card stock is attached to scored and folded Basic Black card stock.  I punched three of the smallest hearts on the Heart to Heart Punch using Real Red cardstock and attached them over the Basic Black hearts using a small piece of dimensional.  Lastly I added a small Basic Rhinestone to each of the Real Red hearts.

I’d love to hear what you think of this card.

Bye for now, Kris.

I love this – I think I’ll case this card for my grandson. It’s not girly. Thanks for sharing!
