Sunny Challenges Week 37

April 22, 2012

It was my turn to set the challenge at Sunny Challenges and Creations this week and I decided that you simply need  to make a card with a “window”.

I scored and folded Whisper White card stock and punched a “window” in the bottom right hand corner using the Blossom Punch.  I also embossed the card front using the Elegant Bouquet Embossing FolderI cut a strip of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock.  I lined up one of the long edges and ran the card stock through the Big Shot using the beautiful new Edgelit Die.  I wrapped this piece with some of the gorgeous Ridinghood Red 3/8″ Pleated Satin Ribbon  and then attached this piece to the top of my card front.  Both the die and the ribbon are available in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.  I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position the image and stamped one of the flowers from the Mixed Bunch stamp set using Ridinghood Red ink on the inside of the card so that it would show through the “window” I punched in the card front.

It’s a simple challenge this week so I am looking forward to seeing your interpretation.  If you would like a little more inspiration then pop on over and visit Vicky, Gwen and Tess.  Once your have created your card, scrap page or 3d item then pop over to Sunny Challenges and Creations  and add it to Mr. Linky.

As always I look forward to seeing all of your fabulous work.

Bye for now, Kris.

Love all the elements you have put on the card. The window in the shape of the blossom is a creative idea.

I love your card – Riding Hood Red just pops with Pear Pizzazz, doesn’t it?
All of your details have come together perfectly.

The touch of Pear Pizzazz works really well with the Riding Hood Red Kris. I love all your elements on your card!
