More playing around with Glossy card today using the Polished Stone technique.  For this technique you need some Isocol (rubbing alcohol) which is available in most supermarkets in Australia.  It is a fairly large bottle and goes a long way for this technique.  You also need a cotton ball.  I poured some Isocol onto the cotton ball and then added 3 drops of Pear Pizzazz re-inker, 3 drops of Wild Wasabi re-inker and also 3 drops of Old Olive re-inker.  The cotton ball is then dabbed all over the Glossy White card.  You need to let is dry before you do anything with the panel.  Once it has dried you will see how the inks have spread into one another and created a beautiful pattern.  The Glossy White card is attached to scored and folded Thick A4 Whisper White card.  I cut leaves from Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White card using the Flourish Thinlit Dies.  I attached the leaves to the card front.  I stamped “with sympathy” from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set onto Whisper White card and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  I cut a scalloped oval from Pear Pizzazz card using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  The greeting is attached to the scalloped oval and then the card front using dimensionals.

To decorate the inside of the card, I cut another leaf from Pear Pizzazz card using the Flourish Thinlit Dies and attached it to the lower left hand corner.

I love how this technique creates such a beautiful background that you don’t have to add a lot to the card to embellish it and make it look special.  I’d love to know what you think.
