Magical Masking Take 2

August 21, 2012

This is one of the cards we will be making next weekend at my Technique Class.  This one uses the Magical Masking technique and I wanted to let everyone have a play with this really fun technique.  Of course I will supply disposable gloves for those who don’t like to get their fingers too inky.  You can find a great tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers and then you can follow the link below the tutorial to the gallery to get more inspiration.

I used Sahara Sand and Pretty in Pink to add the background to the Glossy White card.  I stamped the large teacup image and the greeting from the Tea Shoppe stamp set using Always Artichoke ink.  I punched the long edge of a piece of Pretty in Pink card using the Eyelet Edge Punch (I really love this and am going to miss it so much), wrapped it with Whisper White 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon and tied a knot.  The punched card is attached to the image panel and then to scored and folded Always Artichoke card.

I’m hoping this will give you some more inspiration to join us at Sunny Challenges and Creations this week and use the Magical Masking technique as well as the very simple sketch.

Bye for now, Kris.
