Happy Birthday Mum and Dad
My Mum and Dad both celebrate their birthday today, although they are not the same age. They were visiting for Christmas and I sent home their cards and presents. I hope they like them.

I used the Upsy Daisy stampset and the Urban Garden Designer Series Papers for this card for my Mum. I used Not Quite Navy for my base card. The Baja Breeze card was stamped with the En Franciase background stamp using Baja Breeze ink and the edges sponged with the same ink.. I sponged the Baja Breeze DSP with Baja Breeze ink before it was mounted onto Not Quite Navy card. The Kiwi Kiss DSP was punched down the right hand side using the Eyelet Edge Punch and then sponged with Kiwi Kiss ink before attaching to Not Quite Navy card. The daisies were stamped onto Very Vanilla card using Not Quite Navy ink and then stamped again just to the right without re-inking. The edges of the Very Vanilla card were sponged with Not Quite Navy ink and attached to Not Quite Navy card. I coloured the flower from the Pretties Kit using a sponge and some Not Quite Navy ink and added a Kiwi Kiss Corderoy button (retired Spring Mini) to the centre. I am really happy with the way this turned out. My Mum is a crafty lady herself so I hope she likes it.

This is the card I made my Dad. I used the Seaworthy stampset and Windsor Knot DSP. I used Chocolate Chip as my base card. The Sage Shadow card was stamped with the Sanded background using Sage Shadow ink and the edges sponged with the same ink. I sponged the Sage Shadow DSP with Sage Shadow ink before it was mounted onto Chocolate Chip card. I stamped the boat onto Very Vanilla card using Chocolate Chip ink and sponged the edges with Sage Shadow ink and added Chocolate Chip ink to the very edge of the card before attaching to Chocolate Chip card. I stamped the greeting from On Your Birthday using Chocolate Chip ink. The ends were trimmed using the 1 3/8″ square punch to give the flag effect and then the edges were sponged with Sage Shadow ink. I then added Chocolate Chip ink to the very edge of the card and mounted it onto a piece of Chocolate Chip card trimmed on the end with 1 3/8″ square as well. I added three pewter brads to the left hand side. The greeting piece was mounted using dimensionals over the top of the image panel.
Again I am very happy with the way this card turned out and I hope my Dad likes it.
