Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop is here
Today marks the launch of the fantastic Sale-A-Bration catalogue and this Blog Hop so you can see all the fantastic ways that some absolutely fabulous Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have used these stampsets. You may have come to me from the fabulous Kerri Hunter’s web or you may be starting here, either way you are in for a treat as you continue on through all the fantastic blogs participating today.
Now this is my first Blog Hop and has been organised by ESAD-SU, a fantastic group of Australian and New Zealand Demonstrators. I love being a part of this amazing group which has been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to me. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how and regular cyberstamps.
So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to join our group.
Now before I share my project with you I also want you to know that if you do make it around to all the Blogs involved in today’s Blog Hop and if you make a comment on each one, you are then in the running for some Extra Special Blog Candy. The demonstrators from all over have donated blog candy for this blog hop and if you are the lucky winner you’ll be getting all sorts of parcels filled with fantastic Stampin’ Up! product. Now if you do get to all and comment on all the blogs send an email to Leonie Schroder leonie@stamp-a-latte.comwith your name and email address and then you and everyone else who has also visited and commented on all of the blogs will go in the drawer for the ‘extra special’ blog candy.
Ok, so on with the show.

Today I am going to show you a mini tote bag and four cards with matching envelopes. I made the tote using the Happy Moments Stampset from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, Regal Rose DSP from the Patterns Pack II DSP (Level 1 Hostess Set) and Whisper White and Regal Rose cardstock. I have also used my fabulous Eyelet Edge Punch.
The tote is a variation on a Card Purse Tutorial I found on Julie Buhler’s website although I altered the size as my cards are only 10.5cm x 7.4cm (finished folded size).

This picture shows a side view and you can see the two pockets, one holds the four cards and the other holds four matching envelopes.

Here you can see that I have used all four of the images in the Happy Moments stamp set. Each of the images has been stamped in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card. Then using my Blender Pen and Regal Rose ink, I added some colour to the images. The flower image also has a little Mellow Moss ink added to the stems and leaves. There are three greetings in the set and I have used each of them – Happy Birthday, For You and Thank You.

To make my envelope I took an ordinary 90 x 145mm envelope. I sealed it and then cut 35mm from the end with the postcode boxes. I then cut a piece of DSP 5cm x 90cm, scored at 2.5cm. I rounded the corners on two of the sides and then attached it to the front of the envelope along the score line so that rest of the postcode boxes were covered.
If you would like an opportunity to use some of these stamps and take advantage of some great one-day-only specials then come along to our Sale-A-Bration event on the 13th February at Burpengary Community Hall. See my Classes and Workshops page for more details or email me on k.mcintosh1@optusnet.com.au.
Now the next blog you will visit belongs to the very talented Kim Byrne. She is going to show you something fabulous using the Whimsical Words stampset. But don’t forget to leave a comment before you go.
Bye for now, Kris.
