One Card – Two Challenges

January 30, 2010

Well I seem to have the challenge bug at the moment.  ESAD is having a colour challenge (Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Bashful Blue) and Gretchen Barron has a great sketch challenge so I decided to combine the two and this is my card.

Gretchen’s sketch caught my eye, I love the clean lines.  I’m not sure about the colour combo but I decided to start with a Pumpkin Pie base.  Then I added the Bashful Blue card which I stamped with the Sanded Background using Versamark.  The two pieces of Old Olive card have been stamped using Versamark, one with the Weathered Background and one with the En Francais background.  The focal image is  from Friends 24-7.  This was stamped onto Very Vanilla Card using Ridinghood Red ink.  I added a Ridinghood Red piece of card and then made a slot on the right hand side for the ribbon using the Horizontal Slot punch.  The ribbon is wrapped around the Bashful Blue card and then threaded through the slot in the image panel (which is mounted using dimensionals) and tied in a bow.

I’m not really sure that I like this card.  What do you think.

Bye for now,  Kris.
