Simply Said – I don’t use it enough
Sad to say that the sampset I have used in this card is one that I have hardly used at all. I wanted to play along with Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge 61 and thought that it would be just right.

I started with Basic Black and then added a layer of Perfect Plum which I stamped with En Francaise using Versamark ink and then sponged the edges with Perfect Plum ink. I punched out three Scallop Squares from Pale Plum card. I stamped these with En Francaise using Versamark ink and then sponged the edges with Pale Plum ink. I added 3 brads to the top and the bottom Scallop Squares. These were attached over the central square using dimensionals. I then wrapped the piece with Basic Black 1/4″ grosgrain and tied a knot.
I stamped the image from Simply Said onto Whisper White card using Basic Black ink. I coloured the flowers using my blender pen and Pale Plum ink. I added a Filigree DesignerFlower with a pink Rhinestone brad through the centre. I also sponged the edges with Pale Plum ink. This layer was then added to the black layer using dimensionals and then added to the card using double dimensionals so that it would sit above the Scallop Squares.
I thing the thing I am loving about these challenges is that I have to think very carefully about what stamps will fit with the sketch and therefore I am using a wider variety of stampsets.
Hope you like this one.
Bye for now, Kris
