A Box of Tags
I wanted to share with you the gift I made for my Hostess on Friday night (hi Sharron).

I got the idea for this box from Carla Brasher’s Twelve Weeks of Christmas Week 2 project. Her box was divided into six to hold six different types of tags. The tutorials are fantastic and easy to follow and they are all FREE. Thanks so much Carla, I love what you do. I have decored the front of my box using Holly Jolly Designer Series Paper and the Contempo Christmas stampset. I added a bow using the 5/8″ Organza Ribbon which I think is just gorgeous.

I made 4 tags using the Big Shot and the Top Note Die. I used Very Vanilla as the base card and added 1/2″ top notes to the tag after running it through the Big Shot and using 4 different embossing folders – Perfect Polka Dots, Vintage Wallpaper, Petals-a-Plenty and Finial Press. I added different embellishments to the top by way of decoration (unfortunately I didn’t take individual photos – but you get the idea). I added a Jumbo Pewter Brad and 1/8″ Old Olive Tafetta ribbon. I cut some Whisper White 9 x 5.5cm folded to make 4.5 x 5.5cm tags (4 in total). I stamped “Jingle all the Way” from the Christmas Classics stampset using Cherry Cobbler ink, punched a hole using the crop-a-dile and added some hemp twine. The last little tag is Very Vanilla card punched using the Large Tag. I stamped them using the swirl from Season of Joy and Old Olive ink which I stamped off first. I inked the “to/from” part of the tag image from Cottage Garden using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker and added it to the tag. I attached them to Cherry Cobbler punched using the Extra Large Tag punch. I punched a small hole using the crop-a-dile and added some linen thread. I love the way this turned out and I am happy to say so did Sharron.
I think at this time of year this makes an excellent gift. If you would like to receive a gift like this contact me (k.mcintosh1@optusnet.com.au) to discuss your workshop.
Bye for now, Kris.
