Some Monkey Business

December 31, 2010

I have had the Fox and Friends stampset for a while now and I don’t think it has seen any ink.  So as I need more birthday cards for some young great nieces and nephews, I thought I would have a play.

My colours come straight from the Colour Coach,  on the back of the Garden Green card, its called a creative combination.  The Colour Coach is a fantastic resource for those like me who are slightly colour challenged.

I started with Garden Green card as the base and stamped the Sanded Background using Garden Green ink.  I also sponged the edges with the same ink (I really love sponged edges).  I added a layer of Chocolate Chip card which has one edge punched with the Scallop Edge Punch.  The next layer is Confetti Cream and I stamped “Birthday wishes” from the Sincere Salutations stampset using Chocolate Chip ink.  Next I created a window from More Mustard card and added a piece of Confetti Cream card to the back.  I only attached these two pieces together in the corners and the very centre.  I stamped the little monkey from Fox and Friends four times onto Confetti Cream card using Chocolate Chip ink and cut them out.  Then I slipped their tails behind the frame in various places and added a  Mini Glue Dot to them to keep them in place.  The window is attached to the card front using dimensionals.

I think this is a fun card and I am sure will appeal to my great nieces and nephews.

I’d love to show you how to make a card like this, contact me (k.mcintosh1@optusnet.com.au) and we can discuss how.

Bye for now, Kris.
