A Special Order card

February 11, 2011

I had a gentleman ask me to make a 60th Anniversary card for some friends of his.  The only thing he specified was that he wanted as a particular poem on the inside.  So I didn’t have any idea what colour or design he had in mind.

This is the first card that I designed.  I started with Perfect Plum as my base card.  I added a layer of Whisper White which has been embossed with – your guessed it, the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I added a layer of Certainly Celery with one edge punched using the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.  On top of this is another Whisper White layer which has been embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  I stamped the flowers from Upsy Daisy onto Whisper White card using Perfect Plum ink and then stamped it again just to the right without re-inking (I love this shadow effect).  I stamped “celebrate” from the Fabulous Phrases Stampset using Perfect Plum ink onto Whisper White card, punched it out using the Small Oval Punch and added a Certainly Celery Large oval layer.  I attached the greeting directly to the image panel and then added the image panel to the card using dimensionals.

Please let me know what you think.  I don’t know if this would be suitable of not.  I think I will see what else I can come up with.

Bye for now, Kris.
