A School Year Begins
This year I have two grandchildren attending school. Abigail who is in year 1 and Ethan who just started Prep. The school they attend is just across the road from where I live, so I get to see them almost every day before and/or after school.
This is my scrap page of the first day of school. I started with a 12 x 12″ sheet of Textured Whisper White card. I matted all of my photos and the Newsprint Designer Series Paper on Basic Black card. I added my own version of a punch art bookworm which has been inspired by the numerous versions I have seen on the internet. My worm uses 1″, 3/4″ and 1/2″ Circle Punches cut from So Saffron Card. I sponged all of the pieces with So Saffron ink and also with Not Quite Navy ink. I used the Two Step Owl to cut the pieces for his eyes. The books are made using the Word Window Punch, you just pop the punched out piece back into the punch to get the “bite” out of it. I have cut two from Not Quite Navy and one from Daffodil Delight. They have all been sponged with the corresponding ink. The text was created in word and has been printed onto Whisper White card.
Again a pretty simple page but one which records the day for me to look back on.
I’ve just realised, there is no stamping on this one.
Bye for now, Kris.

What a great page Kris. Love the worm, he is so very cute!
