Patchwork – maybe

June 13, 2011

I tried my hand at the sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers and one of the panels was a kind of patchwork.

I used Basic Black for my base card and added a layer of Whisper White which I embossed using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.  I covered a piece of Whisper White card with 3 pieces of  paper from the Hostess Designer Series Pack and attached it to a Basic Black mat.  I stamped the image from the Friends 24-7 stampset using Black Stazon ink onto Whisper White card.  I coloured the image using my Blender Pen, Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade ink.  The image panel also has a Basic Black mat and it attached to the card front  using dimensionals to make it stand out even more.

I actually like the way this card has turned out.   Let me know your thoughts.

Bye for now, Kris.

Beautiful! Mojo is back!! Love what you have done and the patchwork really ‘works’ because the shapes are irregular. Love it Kris.

This is a wonderful layout (color choices, too) and one that I will use again and again to send to my quilting friends. Thanks for sharing. Victoria, North Carolina
