A bit of quilting

June 29, 2011

I was inspired by a clean and simple sketch at Splitcoast Stampers to create this card.  Quilted cards seem to be everywhere lately.

I used a favourite colour combination of mine Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink and Bravo Burgundy.

My quilt is made by cutting 1″ squares of Sahara Sand and Pretty in Pink card which I attached to a 3″ square of Whisper White using SNAIL.  Once attached I ran it through the Big Shot and embossed it using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I added a 3 1/2″ square mat of Bravo Burgundy and then attached it to my Sahara Sand card.  I cut Bravo Burgundy using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit and attached it over the quilting using dimensionals.  I stamped “congratulations” from the Occasional Greetings Stampset using Bravo Burgundy ink.

Another simple card but I really love it.

Bye for now, Kris.
