Truckin’ Birthday

I decided to create another card for this weeks challenge at Sunny Challenges and Creations.  I broke out a cute little set that took my eye when I first saw it in the new catalogue – I Dig You.  I have two grandsons who are mad about all things that play in the dirt so this set was a must have for me.

You will remember that for this challenge we had a sketch and also a colour combination – Marina Mist, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

I used Marina Mist scored and folded for my base card and attached a layer of Crumb Cake which I embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder.  I added a layer of Cajun Craze card which has been embossed using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.  I stamped the truck image in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla and then again on scrap Very Vanilla  in Marina Mist.  I cut out the back of the truck in Marina Mist and attached it over the Crumb Cake one.  I punched two Basic Black 1″ circles and attached them over the Crumb Cake wheels.  I inked the “present” image using Crumb Cake, Marina Mist and Cajun Craze markers, stamped onto Very Vanilla  card, cut them out and attached them onto the top of the truck.  I pierced a hole in each Basic Black circle and added a Silver 5/16″  Jumbo Brad.  I attached the image panel to a layer of Marina Mist card and attached it to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped “happy birthday” from the On Your Birthday stampset using Cajun Craze ink onto Very Vanilla card and punched it out using the Word Window Punch.  I attached it to a Cajun Craze Modern Label and attached it to the card front using dimensionals.

I love the way this card turned out.  What do you think?  I hope you are going to play along this week, you still have plenty of time.
