Abi’s Sketch Challenge
Last weekend I spent some time with my granddaughter Abi making cards. We used a sketch from Clean and Simple to create 4 birthday cards for her to use for her friends this year at school.
She had such fun picking her colours and images. At 7 she has a fairly good eye for what she likes and I think her cards turned out really lovely.
She used Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Concord Crush together with Whisper White.
She used the Pretty Postage stampset, 1″ Square Punch and Postage Stamp Punch for the Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point cards. She even inked the image using Stampin’ Write Markers so that she only got the “cake” and not the greeting. The greeting for these cards comes from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set.
The Regal Rose and Concord Crush cards use the Flower Fest stamp set. On the Concord Crush card she used the 5 Petal Flower Punch and the 1- 3/8″ Circle Punch as well. She used the 1- 3/8″ Circle Punch and the 1- 3/8″ Square Punch on the Regal Rose card. The greeting for these cards also comes from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set.
She used embossing folders and the Big Shot to decorate the Whisper White Panels in the centre of the cards. Again she made her own selections and used the the following folders – Stripes, Elegant Lines, Square Lattice and Manhattan Flower.
Abi loves to make a set of cards to have on hand for all the birthday invitations a young lady has during the year at school.
I think I have a very talented papercrafter in the making.
Bye for now, Kris.

Go Abi! Your cards are gorgeous. XO Shirley
