Paper Daisies

February 7, 2012

I have had a tutorial for a long time that Maria Vanderform posted on how to make a Daisy Pencil Topper.    I have long been going to try it and finally got around to it yesterday.  I wanted something for a vase that I have had since last Christmas which was made for me by my friend Lorena.

I cut my flowers from Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.  I attached the flowers to narrow dowel stick following Maria’s instructions.  I absolutely love the way they turned out and now my vase contains something beautiful.  I am going to stain the wooden dowel with green ink using a sponge.  I think it will tone down the wood without having to wrap it with florists tape which I never seem to be able to do well.  I should have done the sponging before I showed the flowers to you but I was too impatient to show them off.

I’d love to hear what you think about my beautiful vase of flowers.

Bye for now, Kris.

Darling flowers. Do you happen to have the link for the video. I have never seen it – the bouquet just seems so bright and cheery. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
