Sunny Challenges Week 47

This week’s challenge at Sunny Challenges is set by me and I just want you to use a colour combination – River Rock, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist.  This combo is straight off the colour coach so it should be fantastic.

After setting the challenge, I actually was a bit stumped as to what to do, but finally found an idea for a layout in my big folder of ideas that I thought might work.  I attached pieces of River Rock Designer Series Paper (from the Neutrals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stacks) across a piece of Marina Mist card stock which I had punched along one long edge using the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  I wrapped this with Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding and tied a knot.  This whole piece is attached to scored and folded Whisper White card stock.   I stamped the small flower image from the Bordering on Romance stamp set using Stazon Jet Black ink onto the card front.  I coloured the image using Marina Mist, River Rock and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Markers.  Lastly I stamped the greeting from the Loving Thoughts stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink.

I’m kind of impressed, it’s such a simple card and yet I think it looks great.  What about you, what do you think?
