Look at me
My mother gave me some photos recently of myself as a baby. My parents lived with my grandparents when I was born and the photos are taken in their back yard with their dog Sandy, who apparently was very protective of me. It was perfect timing because we just been told of the release of Project Life and I decided to scrap the photos using the Pocket Pages Stampin’ Up! were going to be releasing.
The new kits hadn’t been released but I knew what Pocket Page layouts would be available and because the photos were so small, I scrapped each of the 4″ x 6″ pockets like a small page. I am so happy with the way the pages turned out. The designer series paper I used (Epic Day This & That) is now retired and so is the embossing folder (Framed Tulips), but I love that you can make these types of pages quickly and simply or you can get a little fancy.
I used MDS to create some of the 3″ x 4″ pocket cards. I also used the This and That Washi Tape to make the hearts and added a few pockets of embossed card in matching colours – our colour co-ordination makes this so easy.
I have lots more photos that my Mum gave me and this style of scrapbooking is going to make it much easier for me to actually get them into albums. I hope you have all had a chance to try out Project Life in some form or another.
Bye for now,
Kris
