Something for Baby
This is a card we made at a recent class at Beachmere. I had seen this kind of card on various blogs and probably on Pinterest as well.
I punched the bottom of the Baked Brown Sugar card using the Decorative Label Punch and then stamped it using the Hardwood Background and Baked Brown Sugar ink. I also stamped strips of Baked Brown Sugar with the same stamp and ink and attached them using dimensionals to the card front to look like drawers.
The coat hanger and the bootie from the Something For Baby stamp set are stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink on Whisper White card and then cut out using the matching Baby’s First Framelit Dies. The coathanger is kind of hooked behind the top edge of the top “drawer” and the bootie has been tied with Whisper White Baked Brown Sugar and kind of hangs from the third “drawer”.
The onsie is stamped in Crisp Cantaloup, then cut using the matching Baby’s First Framelit Die and attached over the coathanger. The greeting from the Petite Pairs stamp set is stamped onto Whisper White card using Baked Brown Sugar ink and punched using the Small Oval Punch. The edges of the oval are sponged with Crisp Cantaloup ink before attaching to the card front. Large Basic Pearls have been added to represent the drawer handles.
The decoration on the inside of the card has been kept quite simple The “stacked ring” image has been stamped onto the lower left hand corner of Whisper White card using Crisp Cantaloup ink. The duck was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar onto Whisper White card, cut using the matching Baby’s First Framelit Dies and attached over the stamped image.
I love that we have so many stamp sets with matching framelits and my customers love that they don’t have to hand cut so much.
Let me know what you think.
Bye for now,
Kris
