Poised Birthday

January 21, 2025

Today I am sharing a card I made for my daughters birthday. I was inspired by this card on Pinterest by Karen Barber to create my version. I attached Real Red card to the left hand side of Basic White card and embossed the panel using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. I wrapped the right hand edge of the Real Red card using the Large Check Ribbon. I stamped the large flower from the Poised Peony stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends before cutting out the image using one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

The image panel is attached to the embossed panel using dimensionals. I stamped “happy birthday from the Something Fancy stamp set onto Basic White card using Real Red ink. I cut a “v” in the left hand edge of the greeting before attaching it to the card front. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Thick Basic White card. I tied a bow in a length of the Large Check Ribbon and attached it to the flower using a Glue Dot. To decorate the inside panel, I embossed a narrow strip of Real Red card using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to the left hand edge of Basic White card.

I stamped a greeting from the Unbounded Love stamp set onto the Basic White card using Real Red ink. I stamped the smallest flower from the Poised Peony stamp set beside the greeting using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends before attaching the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base. I love how bright & pretty this card is, so thank you Karen for the inspiration.

Bye for now,
