Licence Celebration

February 14, 2026

Today’s page is my take on the page shared on page 65 of the January to April Mini Catalogue. My granddaughter got her driver’s licence on her first try which was also her birthday. She was so happy and we were very proud. I didn’t use the same papers as the page in the Catalogue, instead I used some of the left over papers from the 2026 Virtual Card Retreat.

I did use one of the techniques we learned at the Retreat by stamping the small flower image from the Simply Beautify stamp set all over each of the Two-Tone cardstock strips – so Strawberry Slush ink on the Strawberry Slush Paper, Crumb cake ink on the Crumb Cake paper and Old Olive ink on the Old Olive Paper. I attached all of the 1″ strips of Designer Series Paper and Two-Tone Cardstock to the left hand side of a 12″ x 12″ White Willow page.

I used various images and dies from both the Simply Beautiful Bundle and the Beautifully Celebrated Bundle to create the arrangements around the photo, title and journaling. The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the dies were cut randomly from Old Olive, Basic White & Vellum cardstock (retired) although you could use the Vellum Specialty Paper. I also sponged the outside edges of the page using Crumb Cake ink. The title greeting from the Beautifully Celebrated stamp set is stamped onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I fussy cut around the title and attached it to Old Olive card and fussy cut again to give a little more definition. While this is probably not my usual style of Memory Keeping, I am very happy with the outcome. So thank you Stampin’ Up! for the inspiration.

Bye for now,
