Flower Fest Christmas

November 18, 2011

Here is another card I made for this month’s challenge at Craft Project Central.   I thought this challenge was only open to subscribers but it is actually open to anyone and the great thing is that the more you enter the more chances you have to win a month’s subscription to the month of your choice.

My base card is Garden Green card stock  and I added a layer of Whisper White card stock which has been embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I punched both long edges of a narrow strip of Garden Green card stock using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and attached it towards the bottom of the card front.  I stamped the 5 petal flower from the Flower Fest stampset onto Real Red card stock using Real Red ink 6 times and punched them out using the 5 Petal Flower Punch.  I stamped the single leaf from the Flower Fest stampset onto Garden Green card stock using Garden Green ink 6 times and cut them out.  I also scored the centre of each of the petals of the Real Red flowers.  I attached one Real Red flower on top of another using a dimensional and then added the leaves to the back using Mini Glue Dots.  I attached the flowers to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.  I added 3 medium Basic Pearls to the centre of each of the flowers.  I stamped “merry Christmas” from the Petite Pairs stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Real Red ink and punched the greeting out using the Large Oval punch.  I attached the greeting to a Real Red Scallop Oval and to the card front using dimensionals.

This is a very traditional card but I love it.

Bye for now, Kris.
