A Truckin’ Tuesday

November 17, 2011

I really like the sketch at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday this week and couldn’t resist using the I Dig You stampset.

I embossed Whisper White card stock using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Real Red card stock using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and Pacific Point card stock using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.  I attached the embossed card stock to scored and folded Basic Black card stock.  I inked the truck image from the I Dig You stampset using Basic Gray, Real Red and Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped onto Whisper White card stock.  I punched the image out using the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch.  I used my Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool to punch holes in the centre of the wheels and added Silver 5/16″ Jumbo Brads.  I used my Circle Scissors to cut out the Real Red and Pacific Point card stock circles.  I cut the largest Scallop Circle from the Scallop Circles #2 Die using Basic Black card stock and then layered the image panel, Real Red and Pacific Point card stock circles on top.  This was attached to the card front using dimensionals.

This is a simple quick card for a little boy (or maybe not so little boy).

Bye for now, Kris.

Kris, I love all that embossing …. I wouldn’t think to mix them up like that but I love that look. TFS.

Great card – you can almost picture that truck in motion with your dynamic design!

Colours & truck are just great for a little boy! Reminds me of the CAT trucks out in the mines….
