A Two Step Birthday
I love two step stamping, it is such a fun and fast way to get dimension on your stamped images. This week I decided to use Fast & Fabulous to complete the Sudsol Sketch Challenge 55. This is the sketch we had to use.

And this is my card
My base card is Melon Mambo and then I added a layer of Sahara Sand (the colour is way off in the photo but it is Sahara Sand) which I ran through the Big Shot using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. I stamped the two-step single flower onto Whisper White card, firstly using Pretty in Pink and then the second stamp in Melon Mambo. The Whisper White card is layered onto Melon Mambo Card. I stamped “happy birthday” from Perfect Punches onto Whisper White card using Melon Mambo ink and punched it out using my Oval Extra Large punch. I attached this to a Melon Mambo tag cut using the Big Shot and my Lots of Tags sizzlets. The greeting is attached to the card using dimensionals. This card is really pretty in real life and I am quite happy with the way it turned out. I find that when I complete a sketch challenge the whole card comes together rather quickly as usually the sketch will suggest a stampset that will work with the layout. (Does that make sense?). Anyway I find that my most successful creations start with a sketch and I have a whole book of them I have saved from various sources. While relaxing in the evening, this is my most read book.
Bye for now, Kris.
