Silhouettes Sentiments

February 8, 2011

I got this Level 1 Hostess Set some time ago and haven’t used it much, in fact I had only mounted one stamp.  I wanted to play along with the Clean and Simple challenge this week and decided to use this set.

I got my colour combination straight off the Colour Coach, this is the Sweet Set on the Bashful Blue card.  I started with a base card of Chocolate Chip.  The next layer is Bashful Blue which has been embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Next a layer of Chocolate Chip card topped with a layer of Certainly Celery which has been embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.   The next layer is a strip of Whisper White which has been embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and I used my Large Oval punch to take a piece out of each end.  Each of these layers is added with dimensionals, so it is quite a “high” card.  My image from Silhouette Sentiments is stamped using Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White card and punched out using the 1 3/4″ circle punch.  It is layered onto a Chocolate Chip  2 3/4″ Scallop Circle (also added with dimensionals).  I stamped the greeting from Three Little Words using Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White card, punched it out using the Word Window punch and layered it onto a Chocolate Chip Modern Label (also attached using dimensionals).

A lot of layers and a lot of embossing on this card, but it still has that Clean and Simple feel.

I’d love to hear what you think.

Bye for now, Kris.

I love your card! Thanks for an idea with the hostess set! I finally put it together( lol), but still had not made anything with it! TFS for the beautiful embossing ideas! It’s Clean and Simple, yet beautiful and WOW!
