Lovely as a Tree

The challenge this week at Late Night Stampers is to make male cards – old males, young males or anything in between.  Male cards are a major stumbling block for me so I thought I would try and make all my challenges this week male cards.

This is my entry for this week’s Stamping 411 challenge.  I took my colours from the Woodland Walk Designer Series paper and started with Crumb Cake for the base card.  The next  layer is a piece of the  designer paper.  Next I have added another layer of designer paper which is matted on Crumb Cake card.   The image from Lovely as a Tree is inked with Crumb Cake ink and then I tapped my Early Expresso Stampin’ Write Marker onto the image before stamping onto Very Vanilla card.   This piece is also matted with Crumb Cake Card and attached using dimensionals.  I stamped “lets celebrate” from the Occasional Greetings stampset onto Very Vanilla card using Crumb Cake ink and punched it out with the Small Oval punch.  The greeting is also matted with a Crumb Cake large oval.   The greeting is attached to the image panel.  

I’m not really sure that it looks like  a celebration card but  it will have to do.  It’s also missing the ribbon treatment from the challenge card so maybe I will have to make another card for this challenge and see if I can’t do better.
