Flowers anyone
Here is another project I created for the All White challenge at Late Night Stampers. This time I decided to make a 3D project. I have seen the Petal Cone Die used as a vase elsewhere on the net and finally got around to trying it out.
I cut the Petal Cone from Whisper White card and then cut additional panels which I trimmed to be added as a layer. I ran these cut down panels through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Once the box was assembled I used my paper snips to cut a small opening for my flower stems to go through. I cut the flowers from Whisper White card using the Floral Fusion Sizzlit. I used my bone folder to curl each flower until I could separate it into two layers. I scrunched each flower into a tight ball and then opened them. I used the tiny circle buttons from the Bitty Buttons to create the centre of the flowers. I used florists wire and folded it in half and threaded it through the buttonholes from the front, then I tied a tiny sliver of Whisper White card through the buttonholes. Then I added a Mini Glue Dot to the back of the button and started layering the flower petals behind it. I used a Mini Glue Dot between the layers to make sure they stayed together. Once again I scrunched the petals around the button and opened them back up. Once I had made all 5 flowers, I wound the florists wire together and arranged the flowers into a bouquet.
After the flowers were in the “vase” I wrapped some sticky strip around the top of the box and the florists wire and wrapped some Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and tied a bow.
You might be able to see the buttons and the sliver of Whisper White card in this photo.
I just love this project and I’d love to hear what you think.
Bye for now, Kris.
Kris>> Loved the white flowers in vase! These would be wonderful centerpieces
at wedding guests tables. Will have to remember this for my granddaughters!
Checked Sarah’s site as well. You gals are very creative. Thanks for sharing
for your newsites. They look great!
