A Quick Card Holder

September 30, 2011

I wanted to make a holder for the 3 cards that I gave my Hostess last weekend and this is what I made.

I took one of Stampin’ Up!’s large cello bags and cut a piece of Early Expresso card that would fit inside the bag and extend 2″ longer than the bag.  I scored on the 2″ mark.   Then I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder and added it to the front of the 2″ flap.  While the flap was folded over I punched a hole using my Crop-A-Dile through all the layers.  I used Real Red 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon and threaded both ends through from the back to the front, wrapped the loop around the top and tied a bow.  I stamped “a gift for you” from the Word Play stampset using Real Red ink on Very Vanilla card and punched it out using the Large Oval Punch and attached it to a Scallop Oval punched from Real Red card stock.  I attached this to the bottom left hand edge of the front flap.

This is a really quick way to present a small gift.

Hope you like it.

Bye for now, Kris.
