SC 010/11
Here we are again at the start of another challenge week at Sunny Challenges and Creations. This week’s sketch has been brought to us by Gwen and she has stipulated that we must add a bird, animal, fish, bugs or insect to our creation.
I thought this sounded easy when she told me but I had a little trouble coming up with my design.
I started with a Daffodil Delight scored and folded base card. I added a layer of Whisper White card stock which I have embossed using the Stripes embossing folder. I discovered that when you use Whisper White card stock with this folder you can easily tear it as the folder is deeply embossed, so I tried embossing with no tabs on the base plate when I ran it through the Big Shot and it worked a treat. Still great embossing but no tearing of the card stock. The embossed cardstock was attached to the card base using Mini Glue Dots. I ran a piece of Calypso Coral card stock through the Crimper and attached it to the left hand side of the card front, again using Mini Glue Dots. I stamped the fish from the Ocean Commotion stampet onto Whisper White card using Calypso Coral ink and then stamped again onto a post it note and cut the image out. I attached the post-it note image over the stamped image and then stamped the sea horse image from the same stampset partially over the fish. I stamped the fish onto a post-it note and cut it out and attached it over the stamped image. With both images covered I then stamped the sea weed image over the top using Baja Breeze ink. I attached the image panel to a piece of Baja Breeze card stock and then used dimensionals to attach it to the card front.
I love the colours in this card but I am not sure about the focal image. I will have to have a play and see if I can come up with something I like better. What do you think?
I’m sure your will get much more inspiration if you visit Gwen and Vicky, then when you have made your card, pop on over to Sunny Challenges and Creations and add it to Mr. Linky.
Can’t wait to see what you all come up with this week.
Bye for now, Kris.
Lovely bright card Kris.

Lovely card Kris. I am so pleased this set didn’t retire, although I thought it had at first!
