SC 011/11

October 9, 2011

I cannot believe how fast the weeks are going. Christmas really is only just around the corner. Anyway this week the sketch at Sunny Challenges and Creations is brought to you by me.
In addition to using the sketch you need to use the Season of Joy stampset.  This stampset is a favourite of mine and has lots of elements to use to create a  card.  I hope that you can find time to play along with us this week.

My card is very traditional.  Real Red and Whisper White.  I seem to be doing lots of cards with white and another colour lately.  Oh well. …

I attached a piece of Real Red Designer Paper from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack to a piece of Real Red card stock.  I attached this to the lower edge of  a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I embossed another piece of Whisper White card stock using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, again attached it to Real Red Cardstock and then attached it to the card front.  I stamped the large greeting image from the Season of Joy stampset onto Whisper White cardstock using Real Red ink and attached it to Real Red card stock.  The image panel is added over the other layers using dimensionals I attached 7″ lengths of Real Red 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon to the back of each side of the Whisper White card near the top.  I attached the Whisper White card to the front of scored and folded Real Red card stock, making sure to keep the ribbon ends free.   Then I tied a bow with the ribbon over the top of the embossed panel.

Simple really but I do think the Real Red and Whisper White is very effective – don’t you?

Now pop in and visit Gwen and Vicky to see what they have created for your inspiration.  Once you have completed your project then visit Sunny Challenges and Creations and add it to Mr. Linky.

We really do look forward to seeing how you use the sketches each week.

Bye for now, Kris.
