Stamping 411 Fox and Friends
I decided to play along with the sketch challenge at Stamping 411 this week and make a children’s card.
I cut 1″ strips of striped Daffodil Delight Designer Paper from the Brights Pattern Designer Series Paper Stack, attached them to 1 1/4″ strips of Daffodil Delight card stock and then to the Whisper White card stock. I stamped the lion image from the Fox and Friends stampset onto Whisper White card using Pumpkin Pie ink and cut the image out.
I stamped the giraffe image onto Whisper White card using Daffodil Delight ink and cut the image out. I stamped the owl and the monkey onto Whisper White card using Early Expresso ink and cut both images out. I attached the lion, giraffe and owl to a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped happy birthday from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stampset using Early Expresso ink. I attached the Whisper White card stock to a layer of Pumpkin Pie card stock. The image panel was then attached to the Whisper White card stock over the top of the Designer Paper panels using dimensionals. I wrapped this piece with Pumpkin Pie 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon. I hung the monkey from the ribbon and then attached a bow tied from the same ribbon using a Mini Glue Dot. The whole piece was then attached to scored and folded Early Expressso card stock.
I cut the animal images out rather than stamping them straight onto the Whisper White card stock because I think it gives it just a little more dimension and definition.
I love the way this card turned out. What do you think?
Bye for now, Kris.
