Creating Pretty Cards 5

November 4, 2011

I created this card for this month’s sketch challenge at Craft Project Central.  I love how this challenge runs for the whole month and that you can enter as many times as you wish.  You do need to be a member for the month to be able to participate and you get the chance to be in the draw for a free subscription to the month of your choice.  EDITED – I  have just been informed that you do not need to be a subscriber to enter the monthly challenges – YAY.

I stamped the 3 snowflake images from the Snow Swirled stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Night of Navy ink.  I wrapped the Whisper White card stock with Night of Navy 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon and attached it to a scored and folded Night of Navy card.  I stamped  “joy at Christmas” from the Perfect Punches stampset onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink and punched it out using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch.  I layered the greeting onto  a 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle from Brushed Silver card stock  and attached it to the card front over the ribbon using dimensionals.

This is a really simple card and I am not sure that I really like it. however, I am on the way out the door to attend my nieces wedding, so it will have to do.

Bye for now, Kris.

Oh my gosh I love it! Thanks for being the first one to play along with the sketch challenge! I really like the Night of Navy with the white and silver. Your stamping is so neat that I thought you used My Digital Studio at first. Beautiful card!
