Happy 70th

I needed a card last weekend for a cousin who is turning 70.  I used the sketch at Clean and Simple and the Seaworthy stamp set.

I used the Sizzix Scallop Oval Frame and cut one in Bashful Blue and one in Whisper White.  I attached the Bashful Blue Frame to a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed it using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I love the effect when you do inlaid embossing, everything comes together as one layer.  I wrapped it with a piece of Night of Navy 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and then attached it to scored and folded Night of Navy card stock.  I stamped the sailing boat from the Seaworthy stamp set onto the Whisper White oval (centre of the frame) using Stazon Jet Black ink.  I used Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers  and a blender pen to colour the image and then stamped the greeting from the Petite Pairs stampset using Night of Navy ink (of course I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure perfect placement).  I attached the image panel to the card front using dimensionals.

I love the way this has turned out.  What do you think?
