Seaworthy Challenge Card
I really liked the colour challenge that Shirley set at Sunny Challenges and Creations this week so I decided to make another card using the sketch from Craft Project Central.
I cut a narrow strip of Basic Gray card stock and punched one long edge using the Scallop Border Punch. I attached this piece behind Bashful Blue card stock and then attached the whole piece to Very Vanilla card stock. I ran this through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I stamped the boat from the Seaworthy stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock using Night of Navy ink. I punched the top right hand corner using the 3/16″ corner rounder, sponged the edges with Night of Navy ink and attached it over the Bashful Blue card stock.
I wrapped this piece with Night of Navy 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and tied a knot. The whole thing was then attached to scored and folded Night of Navy card stock. I stamped “happy birthday” from the Easy Events stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock using Night of Navy ink and punched the greeting using the Word Window Punch. I attached a Basic Gray Modern Label behind the greeting and then to the card front using dimensionals.
I love the look of inlaid embossing, don’t you. This was such a simple card to put together, but sometimes simple is best.
Bye for now, Kris.

Great technique! I love the masculine color combo and how you embossed all of the layers. Thanks for playing along with the Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge at Craft Project Central again. I love your cards!
