Sunny Challenges Week 43

June 3, 2012

This week Gwen has provided us with a sketch with the added proviso that we use the Ocean Commotion stampset.    This has been languishing on the shelf for quite some time without seeing any ink, so it was a good opportunity to dust it off and use it.  However, we have decided to open this up and really all you have to do is use the sketch.  Take a look at Sunny Challenges and Creations to check the guidelines.

I stamped the “seaweed” image from the Ocean Commotion stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Old Olive ink.  I punched a strip of Pacific Point card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, attached it behind the Whisper White card stock and then to scored and folded Old Olive card stock.  I stamped the fish from the Ocean Commotion stampset using Tangerine Tango ink three times onto Whisper White card stock panels and attached them to Tangerine Tango card stock.   The image panels were attached to the card front using dimensionals.

Simple but I am happy with the way it turned out.  Now it is time to visit Gwen andVicky to see what inspiration they have for you – and don’t forget to leave a comment.  Once you have created your card, scrap page or 3d item, then pop over to Sunny Challenges and Creations and add it to Mr. Linky.  I am quite excited to see what you come up with this week.

Bye for now, Kris.

The first thing I thought was “FISHBOWL” Kris!!! Great card. Seems like the sketch was made for it. I did not initially see the PP strip….so thanks for pointing it out. Thanks for also showing me how to use 2 of my LEAST used colours…PP and TT. ooxx
