Notecards and a little purse
I have had a tutorial to make this purse by Sandi Dailey tucked away in my files for a while now. It is such a cute purse, so I decided to make one and add some little notes for my granddaughter to use for her friends.
I used Basic Gray to make the purse and used the gorgeous Flirtatious Specialty Designer Paper to decorate the front and the back. I cut the top and bottom edges of the Designer Paper using one of the Edgelits Dies. Sandi had a beautiful flower on the front of her bag and I made one from Melon Mambo card stock using the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle punch. I added a Vintage Brad to the centre and one of the “doily” shapes that you can cut from the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Paper behind before attaching it to the front of my bag. I used Whisper White Flower Brads to attached the Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon handles.
I made four little note cards 3″ x 3″ to go inside the bag. I usedWhisper White Textured card stock for the front and stamped them using the large floral image from the Creative Elements stamp set and Melon Mambo ink. The stamped Whisper White card stock was attached to scored and folded Basic Gray card stock. I stamped the letter “A” from the Monogram Sweet Alphabet onto Whisper White card stock and punched the letter out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch. It was attached to a Pretty in Pink 1-3/8″ Circle and then onto a Melon Mambo 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle. The letter is attached to the centre of the stamped Whisper White card stock. I cut copy paper 5-3/4″ x 2-3/4″, folded it in half and attached it into the centre of the card using the Two-Way Glue Pen.
Did I tell you how much I love the new Diagonal Scoring Plate which fits on top of our Simply Scoring Tool. You just slot this into the Simply Scoring Tool and you can create perfect diagonal lines every time. I made this cute little envelope from textured Whisper White card stock and it is just the perfect size for a 3″ x 3″ card. The envelopes were stamped using the large floral image from the Creative Elements stamp set using Melon Mambo ink.
I think it is a really cute set and I am sure Abi will have fun sending notes to her friends.
Bye for now, Kris.
This is so cute Kris! Love this idea. The purse and notecards are just fantastic!!! ~Sophia
