Sunny Challenge 55/12

August 26, 2012

This week at Sunny Challenges and Creations it was Vicky’s turn to set the challenge.  She has given us another fantastic sketch and this time we can use it to make something Christmas.  Do you realise how quickly Christmas is approaching?

I embossed Whisper White card using the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder.  I wrapped it with Real Red 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and tied a knot.  This piece is attached to scored and folded Real Red card.  I stamped the swirl image from the Season of Joy stamp set twice onto Whisper White card using Garden Green ink.   I attached the image panel to Garden Green card and then to the card front using dimensionals.   I stamped the flower from the Season of Joy stampset onto Whisper White card using Real Red ink and cut it out.  I attached the flower between the swirl images and added some Basic Rhinestones for a little bling.  I stamped Merry Christmas from the same stamp set onto Whisper White card using Real Red ink and punched it using the Large Oval punch.  I attached the greeting to a Real Red Scallop Oval and then to the card front.  I used dimensionals under the left hand side so that it would sit over the image panel.

Sadly this is probably the last time I will use this set as it retires in only a few days.

Now for some more inspiration visit Gwen, Vicky and Christine, then when you have created your card, scrap page or 3d item, just visit Sunny Challenges and add it to Mr. Linky.  As Christmas is the time of year we send out the most cards, I am looking for a record number of entries this week.   If you haven’t time for anything else, at least joining this challenge will get you a little better prepared for the Christmas season.

Bye for now, Kris.

Fm memory…this is the 1st SU Chrissy set I got…and (also sadly) it has not seen Chrissy card light for a couple of years now. Thanks for reminding me of how beautiful it is Kris.

Grogeous Kris. I love how you have used your stamps & the flower in the middle showcases this set perfectly. Of course, who doesn’t love bling.

I’ll be sad to see the back of this stamp set; just beautiful. Love what you’ve done with it, Kris. I really like how much white space there is in your card; it makes the details pop. Love Petals-a-Plenty on Christmas cards, too. Beautiful card!
