Male card

October 11, 2012

This is a card we made this week at my Beachmere class.  I don’t do male cards very well but I love the way this one turned out.

I cut a piece of Marina Mist card 10.5cm x 4.5cm and attached 1cm strips of Night of Navy card behind both long edges.  I stamped “happy birthday” from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink.  I punched the greeting using the Word Window punch and attached it to the Marina Mist card so that the right hand edge of the greeting was cut off square with the edge of the Marina Mist card.  This piece was then attached to scored and folded Whisper White card.  I stamped the “log” image from The Open Sea stampset onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink.  This piece also has 1cm strips of Night of Navy card attached behind before attaching it to the left hand side of the card front.  I stamped the “world” image from The Open Sea stamp set onto Whisper White card and punched it using the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch.  The sailing ship image from the same stampset was stamped over the top using Night of Navy ink.  I cut Night of Navy card using the 3″ Circle Originals Die and pierced a row of holes around the edge using the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Stampin’ Pierce Mat and Paper Piercing Tool.  I attached the boat image to the Night of Navy 3″ Circle and then to the card front using dimensionals.

I really like this one, what about you?

Bye for now, Kris.
