Another Birthday Card

June 20, 2013

The card I am sharing today was made for my Aunty Bev using another left over kit from class.  It uses the same supplies as Ethan’s Birthday card but this time I used the image from the Embellished Events stamp set.

007The image was stamped using Old Olive ink onto the Whisper White card.  I tied White Baker’s Twine through a Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Daffodil Delight Button and added them over the stamped flowers using Glue Dots.  I wrapped the stamped panel using Real Red 1/8″ Tafetta Ribon, tied a bow freehand and attached it using a Glue Dot.

008The Basic Black card is punched using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and the words are from the Loving Thoughts stamp set.

I am really enjoying testing myself to come up with different designs for my left over kits.  You should try it.  It is quite amazing how different the cards can look using the same colours and layout but different stamps, punches and embossing folders.

Remember you can purchase your supplies and check out what is still available on the Retired Lists (until the end of the month or until sold out) by visiting my Stampin’ Up! website and online store.

Bye for now, Kris.
