For my Aunty

June 19, 2014

Aunty-Bev's-cardMy Aunty celebrated her birthday yesterday and I wanted to share with you the card I made for her.  I’m sorry to be tormenting you with the Blendibilites but I was enjoying using them so much when I made my daughter’s card, I just had to have another play with them.

I embossed Coastal Cabana card using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Baked Brown Sugar card.  I stamped the Vivid Vases  onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured the vases with the Coastal Cabana Blendibilities and used Blendibilites in the following colours for the flowers – Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzlebrry, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.  Aunty-Bev's-card-2I used the Old Olive Blendibilites to add colour to the leaves and stems.  I attached the stamped panel to Baked Brown Sugar card which has the lower edge punched using the Scallop Trim Border Punch (I am really sorry that this punch is retiring) and attached the panel to the card front.Aunty-Bev's-card-3  I stamped the greeting from the Petite Pairs stamp set using Baked Brown Sugar ink onto Whisper White card and punched it out using the Large Oval Punch.  I attached the greeting to a Baked Brown Sugar Scallop Oval and then the card front using dimensionals.

Inside the card I stamped three of the images from the Vivid Bases stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them to match the front of the card.  I added a strip of embossed Coastal Cabana card to Baked Brown Sugar card to look like the vases are sitting on a shelf.

I do hope my Aunt likes her card as much as I do.

Bye for now,
