60 Years
My Mum and Dad celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday. It sounds like such a long time but I’m sure the years have flown by. My Mum was 17 and my Dad 23 when they got married and together they have created a wonderful life and watched their family grow. They have three daughters (I am the eldest), 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
I wanted to create a special card and this is what I decided on. I embossed Whisper White card using the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Whisper White card. I cut the heart from Whisper White card using the Heart Framelit Dies, rubbed it with Versamark, sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat set it. I tied a bow through the 60 charm using some retired Silver Thread and attached it to the tip of the bow with a Glue Dot. I cut Vellum card using the Little Leaves Sizzlit and attached it to the bow. I stamped Happy Anniversary from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set onto Whisper White card using Smoky Slate ink and cut it out using one of the Bitty Framelit Dies.
I punched two circles from Whisper White card using the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle, two circles using the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle and two using the 3/4″ Scallop Circle. I separated the card, scrunched them and stacked them on a retired Silver Brad before attaching the flower over the leaves and the greeting.
Inside the card I attached a narrow piece of Smoky Slate card to Whisper White card embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. I cut another set of leaves from Vellum card and attached a small heart over the top. I forgot to take this photo before I wrote in the card, so forgive my blurry editing.
My parents are taking a little cruise and spending some time with my sister and her daughter in Perth. A well deserved break to celebrate such a milestone.
Bye for now,
Kris

Congratulations to your parents! I like your idea of heart embossing the die cuts.
