A simple card

August 31, 2014

009I was surfing Pinterest recently (you know, I think I am addicted) and found a very simple card using an image that wasn’t Stampin’ Up! but I knew it would work with the beautiful flower in the Stippled Blossom stamp set, so I just had to case it.

I stamped the solid flower from the Stippled Blossom stamp set onto Whisper White card using Wisteria Wonder ink which I had stamped off once onto scrap paper.  010I stamped the outline image over the top using the same ink.  I masked the flower and stamped the leaves using Always Artichoke ink.  Again the solid image was stamped off once onto scrap paper first.  I stamped “thinking of you” from the Sassy Salutations stamp set to the left and below the flower.  I stamped the second flower onto scrap paper using Elegant Eggplant ink.  011Again the solid image was stamped off once onto scrap paper to give the lighter colour.  I cut out the Elegant Eggplant flower and attached it over the flower and leaf images.  Although I love one layer cards, I do struggle to actually make them, so I had to add an Elegant Eggplant card base.

Inside the card I stamped the Wisteria Wonder flower which I masked before stamping the leaves.

A simple card but I think it is gorgeous and I thank Laura, the creator of the card I cased, for the inspiration.

Bye for now,

Kris
