Blender Pen Colouring
I decided to make a card showcasing the Blender Pens for my class this week. As you are all aware I am not a great fan of colouring but I kind of got the taste using the Blendibilities and now I want to try out more colouring techniques.
I attached a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack to the left hand side of Whisper White card. I embossed a piece of Calypso Coral card using the Chevron Embossing Folder and attached it over the lower portion of the Whisper White card. The whole piece is attached to scored and folded Basic Black card. I stamped the flower image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set onto Whisper White card using Stazon Jet Black ink and coloured it using my Blender Pen with Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron ink pads. I cut the image using one of the Oval Framelit Dies and attached it to an oval cut from Basic Black card. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
Inside I stamped the leaf image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set three time using Wild Wasabi ink. I didn’t re-ink between stamps so that I could create different levels of colour. I embossed a piece of Calypso Coral card, again using the Chevron Embossing Folder and attached a narrow piece of Basic Black card behind one long edge. The embossed piece is attached to the Whisper White card, covering the lower portion of the stamped leaves.
I might get to enjoy colouring my images, so maybe you should stay tuned and see what other techniques I try.
Bye for now,
