A Sea Sketch

I was looking for inspiration for a male card for a recent class and found a great sketch I had pinned (I just love Pinterest). I started by attaching Whisper White card to scored and folded Night of Navy card. For the focal piece I stamped the World Map Background onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink. I Brayered Marina Mist ink onto a piece of designer series paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and attached it over the bottom of the stamped card. The whole piece was attached to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the happy Birthday wishes from the Petite Pairs stampset onto the right hand side of a strip of Whisper White card and attached it to Night of Navy card. I attached the greeting panel to the card front using dimensionals on each end. I stamped the ship from The Open Sea stamp set onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink and cut it out. The ship is attached to the left hand side of the greeting panel.

Inside the card I kept it very simply and added another piece of the Designer Series Paper from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack which I also brayered with Marina Mist ink. I added a narrow strip of Night of Navy card behind one long edge and then attached the whole piece to Whisper White card.

I love how you can turn that black and white designer series paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack any colour you wish just by using your Brayer to add the ink. Such a fantastic idea, don’t you think?
