Another Challenge card
Today’s card is one that I made using the sketch from the weekly challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. It is a simple one, given the time of year and that everyone is quite busy. I started by embossing Whisper White card using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder which I attached to scored and folded Crumb Cake card. I stamped the image from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set using my Bermuda Bay Ombre Pad (the first time I have used it and I must say I do love it). I added a little Early Espresso to the tree trunk using my Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set using Crumb Cake ink. I attached the stamped card to Crumb Cake card and added a strip of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (unfortunately I think this one is now no longer available, hope you got yours before it ran out!) below the greeting. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside, I simply added another strip of the Designer Series Paper to Whisper White card.
Simple, but elegant, what do you think? As always if you wish to purchase any of the products used in my card today, then click on the link below to visit my online store.
And now I am going to let you in on a little secret. You are probably wondering why I used Bermuda Bay ink for the tree. Good question. I actually thought I was using Emerald Envy ink and didn’t realise my mistake until the card had been fully assembled. However, I don’t think it looks too bad. Do you?
Bye for now,
Kris
