Special Order Birthday

January 18, 2017

My Mum asked me to make a card for her to give to a lady who is celebrating her 80th birthday at the end of the month.  I guess when you live in a Retirement Resort you are bound to get lots of people celebrating milestone birthdays.

I actually CASED this card from one I saw on Pinterest by Kerry Crocker.  special-order-80th-2 I cut the Detailed Floral Thinlit from Rose Red card and attached it to Whisper White card, then Rose Red card and then scored and folded Whisper White Thick A4 card.  I stamped happy birthday from the Endless Birthday stamp set onto Whisper White card using Rose Red ink.  I punched one end using the Triple Banner Punch and attached it to Rose Red card which also had one end punched using the Triple Banner Punchspecial-order-80th-3To decorate the inside of the card I stamped the border image from the Floral Phrases stamp set onto the lower edge of Whisper White card.  I cut the numbers from Rose Red card using the Timeless Type Alphabet Dies (retired) and attached them to the centre of the stamped Whisper White card.  The stamped card is attached to another layer of Rose Red card.  I decorated the envelope to match by stamping the border image once more across the lower edge of the Whisper White envelope.

I love the look of this card and thank Kerry once again for sharing.  What do you think?  Do you like it?  I hope the lady receiving it does.

Bye for now,

Kris
