Bird Banter

January 25, 2018

I thought you might like a change from all the Waterfront cards I have been sharing.  I saw a card recently (or maybe not so recently) that has this simple but very effective layout, so I saved it for future use. I stamped the greeting from the Bird Banter stamp set onto the lower right hand corner of Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I also attached three strips of the  Basics Pack 2 Washi Tape across the centre of the stamped card before attaching to scored and folded Old Olive card.  I stamped the bird from the Bird Banter stamp set onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the image using the Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends I cut out the image using one of the circles from the Stitched Circles Framelits Dies.   I stamped the stem image onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the leaves using the Old Olive Stampin’ BlendsI cut out the image and attached it to the stamped circle so that the bird was sitting on the branch.  I trimmed off the excess branch and attached the panel to a Daffodil Delight scalloped circle cut using the Layering Circle Framelit Dies.  The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.

To decorate the inside of the card I stamped Whisper White card using another of the greetings from the Bird Banter stamp set and also the two small birds, one either side of the greeting.  The birds are coloured using the Pool Party, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.

My colouring of the birds may not fit any particular type but aren’t the birds cute?  I really need to use this set more, there are so many images and so many possibilities.

Bye for now,

Kris
