Happy Birthday Ron

My husband recently celebrated his birthday and today I am sharing with you the card I made for him. I was a little bit last minute so I pulled out the Tailored Tag Punch and the Wood Textures Designer Series paper. Using up the scraps, I punched out a number of pieces and attached them to Whisper White card. I stamped the greeting from the Guy Greetings stamp set onto Whisper White card using Early Espresso ink and punched it out using the same Punch. I punched Early Espresso card, twice and layered the greeting on top of these pieces before placing it onto the card front. The panel is attached to scored and folded Early Espresso card. This technique lets the greeting really pop off the front of the card.
To decorate the inside of the card, I used some of the greetings from the Guy Greetings stamp set. My grandchildren were with me at the time, so I had to have – husband, dad and grandpa.
You might want to know that the Guy Greetings stamp set is on the retired list and that the Wood Textures Designer Series paper is a carryover item to the new Annual catalogue. So if you want that stamp set do not delay placing your order, I notice that a few things are already sold out.
I love how quick and easy this card was to make and how very effective the punched shapes make it. Sometimes when it comes to family, I do leave it till the last minute to create them a card. I’d love to know what you think?
Bye for now,
Kris
